About Us
Here at Blackpool area divers, our doors have been open since 1986 and we pride ourselves on being different. We are Blackpool's ONLY PADI dive centre. Not only do we provide world class diving tuition at affordable prices, we have a large network of commercial divers too! Our team of highly trained professionals have done everything from working on TV sets to sunken boat recovery, working all around the world.
Having some of the best divers in the business means we've been able to build relationships with partner institutions all around the world! This means we regularly host affordable dive trips to various places, including; Egypt, Malta, The Maldives, The Cayman Islands, Oban, Lanzarote and many more!

Courses
We are proud to offer a wide range of professionally taught courses for all skill levels and abilities! We know learning to dive can be a big commitment in terms of time and money, which is why we offer a "try-a-dive" session for all beginners, starting at £30, including gear, instruction and air! For our more experienced customers, we offer courses from open water to dive master, as well as technical and nitrox. There's something for everyone at Blackpool Area Diving Centre!
Open Water

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Included in the price is pool & open water sessions, course materials and certification. We also offer PADI eLearning, meaning you can learn remotely at your own pace.
Advanced Open Water
£275 (all inclusive)
Move up and experience real adventure with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. As you step beyond the PADI Open Water Diver level, you make five dives and have the opportunity to try some of diving's most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as deep diving, digital underwater photography, wreck diving and much more. These skills make diving much more than underwater sightseeing. Plus, the Advanced Open Water Diver course takes you one step closer to Dive Master- the ultimate non professional certification in recreational diving.
Includes PADI eLearner key.
Rescue Diver
£350 (all inclusive)
Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.
During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

Your course for a colorful collection of awesome dives. Sure, your PADI certification opens up the oceans and lakes to you, but the PADI Specialty Dives take the underwater adventure to depths that will stir your soul. Achieving PADI Specialty ratings can take anywhere from as little as one day to a full weekend -but this is all hands-on, so you'll be diving right from the start.
Need to Refresh? No Problem
PADI ReActivate® is a review program that allows you to refresh your scuba knowledge and safe diving practices. Refresh your diving knowledge before going to our PADI Dive Center to practice your dive skills and receive a replacement digital certification card with a ReActivated date on it.

Referrals
£125 (no course material included)
Can’t decide whether to get your scuba certification while on holiday or at home before you travel? With a PADI Open Water referral, you don’t have to choose. A PADI referral allows you to complete most of your scuba training at home and finish your certification dives anywhere in the world. Avoid studying during your vacation and support your local dive shop at the same time.
Family and group discount available.
Price includes all pool training and equipment hire. You can decide whether to use eLearner (see below) or purchase books in store.
PADI eLearning
We are proud to offer the option of online learning with all of our courses, this will allow you to purchase your course directly from PADI, learn theory and take online examinations at your own pace, from the comfort of your home. Here at the Blackpool Area Diving Centre, we stock a wide range of diving gear and equipment to meet every divers needs. We offer various styles and sizes of wetsuit and drysuit for men and women, BCD's, weights, clamps, jackets, masks and snorkels and much more!
We also offer tank filling services for just a small fee. Feel free to contact us with further product enquiries.

Got a problem with your gear? We've got you covered. We don't just sell gear, we service, repair and clean too. We're proud to offer affordable prices, meaning if your gear breaks, it won't break the bank.
